My play, Apocalypse Play, produced by Moving Arts in 2016 is being adapted to film, by me, in collaboration with an L.A. based film director.

I am a part of this year’s inaugural writers group at the Road Theatre, continuing work on my new play THREE STORIES with a public reading to come in Late May/Early June.
I participated in a four day writers retreat in L.A. led by John Eisner from the Lark. I began work on a new play THREE STORIES, which is loosely based on a family story about my grandmother, but is actually about how and why we tell stories, and how we sometimes lose control of them.
I spent a week in July at one of Erik Ehn’s silent retreats. I wrote a bunch of words for a new fiction idea and a bit on a new play. The silence and the exercises take you in all kinds of new writing directions. More about the silent retreats here

Playwrights’ Arena in Los Angeles announced their 2019 season, which will include my play The End of Beauty, set to open in late May 2019.

In October I was in San Francisco to work on my play Phosphorescence at Z Space, directed by Michael French. Great actors and a great reading and discussion after.
