Cory Hinkle

Teaching

Most recently, Cory was a Visiting Lecturer in Playwriting at Bates College, a guest artist at the University of Oklahoma, and he taught at the William Inge Center as a part of the Kennedy Center VSA Playwright Discovery Program.  

Previously, he has been a visiting instructor at the University of Minnesota, and an instructor at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, where he was on the faculty from 2009-2012 and taught acting, theatre studies, playwriting, and writing for devised theatre. He was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Gustavus Adolphus College where he taught acting, playwriting, writing for devised theatre and theatre and society.  

Cory has been a guest artist at Middle Tennessee State University and a visiting instructor at the University of New Mexico's MFA playwriting program. He has taught playwriting courses at Brown University, the Playwrights' Center, Writopia Lab, the Loft Literary Center and in the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA program where he has been a guest artist numerous times.
